CAPD have recently began laying the grounds for a brand new student accommodation site in the ever growing, popular student city of Sheffield.
This is a design & build project for our client ‘Golden Sands Developments’, who reached out to us as they were impressed with our previous work. We are working closely with Yeme Architects and Simba Structural Engineering on this project; after working regularly as a team on other projects we are confident in our team to meet if not exceed client expectations.
The proposed development includes a new five storey Student Accommodation complex which will incorporate:
- basement parking with cycle parking stores
- plant room and potential sub-station
- external communal areas
- external bin store on a site
Design Features will include:
- Timber frame construction
- Brick cladding
- Brick facade
CAPD Complete Build aim to recycle and re-use as much material on site as possible; during excavation we discovered many areas of concrete, which is to be broken up and recycled as fill on site.
The site is situated on the junction of Priestley Street and Charlotte Road, Sheffield, South
Yorkshire S2 4DD on the site of a former industrial building which has been demolished.
Behind the site runs the River Sheaf. The site is situated next to residential housing to its
right and opposite retail outlets.
